Lead Gen credits and limits

Updated

Lead Gen has its own credits, separate from the credits of the Website Agent. The Professional plan includes 500 Lead Gen credits each month and the Expert plan includes 1,000. The Starter plan doesn't include Lead Gen. A batch uses the credits when its mini-sites publish. This page explains how a batch is charged, why a batch can fail to start, and the limits that protect the mini-sites and the people who receive their messages.

How a batch is charged

A batch costs 1 credit for each mini-site that publishes, with a minimum of 8 credits for a batch.

  1. When you select Confirm and generate batch, the batch reserves one credit for each included row, or 8 credits when the batch has fewer than 8 included rows. The review step shows the amount before you confirm.
  2. When the batch ends, you pay 1 credit for each mini-site that published, with the minimum of 8. The rest of the reserve returns to the current cycle.
  3. The batch page then says how many credits were charged.

A row that didn't publish isn't charged. A batch that fails returns every reserved credit, and a batch that ends with no published mini-site charges nothing.

Editing a mini-site, editing the batch defaults, exporting, and deleting cost no credits, and a deletion doesn't return the credit you paid. A draft uses no credits until you confirm it.

When a batch can't start

The confirm step refuses a batch for one of these reasons, and the page says which one. A refused batch uses no credits, and your draft stays saved.

  • Not enough credits. The page shows the credits the batch needs and the credits you have left. Credits reset on the date the page shows, and the workspace owner can change the plan.
  • No plan. The workspace needs a plan to get Lead Gen credits.
  • Rows with errors. Fix each included row that has an error, or exclude it.
  • No industry. Choose the industry of the batch.
  • Generation is offline. We pause new batches when a service they depend on is unavailable. Batches that are already running finish, and your draft batches stay saved. Try again later.
  • Three batches are already running. Wait for one to finish.
  • Three or more of your batches failed in the last 24 hours. New batches are paused until the oldest failures are a day old, and our team is told.

Limits on a batch

  • A CSV file holds up to 1 MB and 1 to 500 businesses.
  • A workspace member can have 3 batches running at once. Batches start in the order they were confirmed.
  • A batch uses one industry and one language. Editing can't change them after the batch is generated.
  • Each section of a mini-site that has an image shows an image only when the image passes our checks. An image that fails the check for text twice is left out, and the section shows without it. The batch page lists these warnings.

Limits on contact messages

A mini-site's contact section sends email to the workspace member who made the batch, from a visitor you don't know. These limits keep one visitor from filling that member's inbox.

  • A mini-site takes up to 20 messages a day.
  • One visitor can send up to 3 messages a day to one mini-site and up to 10 a day across all mini-sites.
  • One connection can send up to 5 messages in 10 minutes. The visitor sees a message that says to wait 10 minutes.
  • A workspace member receives up to 50 contact emails a day by default, and the platform sends up to 500 a day in all. A message over a limit isn't emailed.

The days are UTC days. A visitor whose message was received but not emailed sees a thank-you that says the request was received and doesn't promise an email.
